One hundred fourteen modifications to the first list of commercially important fishes of the Colombian continental Caribbean (Acero et al., 1986) are included; 69.3o/o of them are additions, 28,9o/o, changes, and 2.6o/o, substractions. A short review of the new FAO's volumen on the marine organisms of economical value of northem South America is also presented.
